Best of Days
Ashley of www.ashleyannphotography.com/blog inspired me to start a little journal of sorts where each day I can focus on one "best" of my day. Or two or three. But just someplace I can record those little moments I don't want to just pass by and be gone. Thanks for sharing in these moments with me :-).

Watching Will spin his arms like a windmill to wind up to kick the soccer ball into the goal. Priceless. And hilarious.

My heart just swelled with pride today when hours after Will held, and lost, an item I picked up at a picker's sale today, he said out of the blue, "Mama, I'm so sorry I lost the measuring thing." What a precious boy to still be dwelling on it and feeling sorry.

A very productive day seeing our house go drab to fresh and new. Hooray for the 1920's and high quality siding and real metal corners!

Will told me today when I left him with Grandma "I'll miss you mama." Totally made my day!

My guy painted the shop by the light of the moon last night. How lucky am I? He does these things for us after a 13 hour work day. I am in awe of him.

I love that my little guy's favorite word right now is "super". As in "I'm super hungry" or "I'm super tall" or "I super don't like that." It just makes me grin at his unique choices of use for it.

Impromptu bar-b-que at M&R's with grilled chicken, my first potato salad, and angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream and some Big Sky Brew. Ideal way to end "summer".

Running through the downpour from Home Depot to the truck and trying to convince the kids that's the fun in a summer rain :-).
